| So the USA's coin denominations are clearly better than European's. USA has the coins of 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50 cents. The Euro has 1, 2, 10, 20, and 50 cent pieces. After making an extensive list of all possible values of coins, I wrote the minimum number of coins it would take for each currency to make each amount. The results are shocking.
It takes Euro's an average of 4.72(72 repeated) coins to make any arbitrary value. It takes USA an average of 4.24(24 repeated) coins to make any arbitrary value.
That is nearly half a coin less that the average American citizen has to use to pay. Go us(US). |
